Fort Stewart Museum

Rock of the MarneThe Fort Stewart Museum provides the soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division and Fort Stewart, Georgia with historical exhibits, heritage training and research support. Fort Stewart Museum was founded in 1977 and has grown with the post, now boasting a collection of over 5,000 objects in a 9600 square foot facility on a 3 acre site. The museum's exhibits include tanks, helicopters, uniforms, weapons, audio-visual programs, and photographs while it chronicles the story of the world famous 3rd Division and its home base, Fort Stewart, GA. Civilian (non-military) visitors to the Fort Stewart Museum should be prepared to show a photo ID, vehicle registration and insurance card to security personnel in order to obtain a visitor's pass to enter the post.
